Suriname is a Dutch-speaking country in South America. Its Center of Expertise on Education and ICT (ECOIS) is a partnership aimed at providing information, advice, implementation and training in the field of ICT and sustainable development goals (SDGs). Our focus is goal 4: Quality education.
The main challenges for Suriname are, in our view, making education accessible for everyone, setting up large-scale adult education and integrating ICT into all forms of education.
Ecois educates educational professionals in e-learning, creative education and gaming / simulation and helps to upgrade courses to accreditation level.
Ecois develops and gives active workshops and presentations in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. All documentation can be found on the site.
Ecois publishes the exams and retakes with answers from GLO, MULO, HAVO and VWO from 2007 to 2013.
Ecois provides information about the technical infrastructure for ICT in education: computers, computer lab, networks and fablab / makerspace and software.
